The 4" SM series submersible motors are rewindable, like their predecessors, and can operate in wells with water temperatures no higher than 35°C and a pH between 6.5 and 8.0. The filling liquid is a dielectric fluid called white oil, approved by the American FDA and other pharmacological institutions worldwide. The coupling dimensions and flange comply with NEMA standards as these submersible motors are specifically designed to operate in conjunction with submersible pumps (in deep wells) with the same coupling dimensions.

Power supply can be single-phase or three-phase. Single-phase models range from 0.37 kW (0.5 HP) to 4.0 kW (5.5 HP), while three-phase models range from 0.37 kW (HP) to 7.5 kW (10 HP). Submersible motors are typically used in vertical installations. However, they can be installed horizontally, subject to prior approval from our technical department and a comprehensive assessment of the required application. The motors can be installed in 4" wells with a maximum depth of 250 meters.


Their rewindability is ensured by a design that facilitates the disassembly and reassembly of the motors themselves.


APPLICATIONS:


The 4" electric motors ensure reliable operation in wells with a diameter of 4" or greater. Oil-lubricated axial and radial bearings allow for maintenance-free operation. Pressure compensation within the motor is ensured by a special diaphragm.

Series of 6", 8", and 10" rewindable water-filled submersible motors, asynchronous 2-pole motors with squirrel-cage rotors. PVC-filled wire windings are easily rewindable. Robust and oversized motors designed to withstand heavy loads and last a long time.

The radial bearings and thrust bearing are Mitchell products and are lubricated by the motor's internal water; this allows for long, maintenance-free operation. The mechanical seal mounted on the crankshaft provides exceptional resistance to sand.
